About

With a background in painting, drawing and traditional sculpture, Shove Mink (AKA Croshame) begrudgingly took up crocheting in October 2009. What was at first a tenuous relationship with the craft soon blossomed into an all-out obsession when Shove began making her own amigurumi designs in Janurary 2010. Her newfound love and fervor for the medium prompted her to concentrate more heavily on her art than ever before, and she quickly built up a large array of charmingly disturbing crochet characters, as well as learning other fiber art mediums and techniques along the way.

Shove graduated with a BFA in Painting and Drawing from California College of the Arts in 2002. An avid movie and art history enthusiast, she has also authored several zines and comic books.

LOVE your work! The Exorcist, Sid & Nancy, Mia Wallace, Krampus… you re most definitely a crochet genius! Have you ever done any of the cenobites from the Hellraiser movies? My hubby loves them and I’m not sure my own crochet skills are good enough to do them.
    Keep on hookin’!
